01 Explore · stops & scouts

Places to shoot, plans to make.

Use our map to mark your adventures and label your locations as Scouts or Stops.

A Stop is a place, and it holds the photos taken there: one shot from a lay-by or dozens around a castle. String several Stops together and you have a Stopover: a whole trip, in the order you set.

Still planning your visit? Mark it as a Scout first so it’s only viewed by you. Once you’ve shot it, you can graduate it into a Stop, which stays a private draft until you publish it.

The map also has extras to explore, such as local tree types and nearby facilities, plus rain radar and cloud cover on the Field plan.

Your journey as you walked it.

Thread your Stops into an ordered route called a Stopover. Plan one ahead, or log it as you go, but help us share these routes to their fullest with every frame and note in sequence.

Turn on alerts for a Stop and an hourly scan scores its next golden and night windows against the directions it’s shot in (cloud cover included).

Tides
Low and high water
Coastal Stops carry the tide. This turns on tide alerts to wait for low water and stamps every frame with the water it was shot on.
Woodland light
Flat · workable · harsh
This ranks Stops by how close they are to a wood, and you can filter by the kind of trees: broadleaved, conifer or mixed. The day’s light is read from how diffused the sun is and how windy it’s forecast to be. more

Your story
These are private by default as they allow you to detail your days in the field. Pin an entry to a Stop and publish it, and it becomes a field note others can read. The story of a Stopover is written on the Stopover itself.

Your photos are yours.
Full stop.

01 Remove a photo and our right to show it ends immediately.
02 No repost button: because no one should be able to pass off your work as their own.
03 One toggle burns credit into every copy we serve. Your name takes priority over our brand.
04 Capture data and the credit stay with your photo. GPS never leaves with it.
05 Your images never become training data. Not for us or anyone else.
06 Your personal data isn’t for sale and neither are your images.
07 How precisely your Stops show is yours to choose, and on Field, what your EXIF shows.

And when a camera signs its files, we say so: photos carrying Content Credentials wear a quiet “signed at capture” badge that’s checked by us, never assumed, and free on every plan.
