Terms of service

Panoramble is a field guide for outdoor photographers: stops, stopovers, field notes, Sundial, and the photographs that prove them. You bring the work; we keep it yours, show it big, and never get between you and your copyright.

By creating an account you agree to these terms, the rights charter and the privacy policy. If you don’t agree, don’t create an account — the marketing pages are yours to read regardless.

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email — there is no password to leak. Keep that email address current and its inbox secure; whoever controls it controls the account.

One person per account. You’re responsible for what’s posted from yours.

You must be at least 13 to use Panoramble.

Copyright stays with you, entirely. Uploading grants us one narrow licence: to store your photo and display it on Panoramble at the visibility you chose, with your name attached. That’s the whole licence.

It ends the second you delete the photo. No sublicensing, no AI training, no resale, no repost button — the rights charter spells out each of these with the mechanism that makes it true.

Upload only work you made, or have the right to publish. If someone else’s work shows up under your name, the moderation process in section 05 applies.

The Free plan is real and stays free. Field is a paid subscription — current prices are on the pricing page, they include VAT, and payment is handled by Stripe; card details never touch our servers.

Email us within 14 days of any charge for a full refund, no questions asked.

Cancel any time — you keep Field until the end of the period you paid for, then drop to Free. Nothing is deleted when you downgrade — everything you made stays; you just can’t create new stops or stopovers beyond the Free caps.

If a renewal payment fails we retry for a while before dropping the tier — a lapsed card is a grace period, not a cliff.

Subscriptions are available to UK customers at launch; international billing is coming.

Fully AI-generated imagery is banned. Heavier edits carry a disclosure; straight-from-camera needs nothing. Present your work as what it is.

Respect the places. Use location precision honestly — fragile sites deserve the fuzzy or area setting, and disclosures about access exist to keep both photographers and locations safe.

Anyone can flag a photo or stop. A flag never hides work by itself — a human reviews it, outcomes are graduated (disclosure added, then reclassified, then removed), and only repeated bad faith earns a strike. Defending yourself is always free.

Repeat bad faith can suspend uploading and flagging for a time. Reading, downloading and deleting your own work are never suspended — your exit is never held hostage.

Delete any photo at any time — the effect is immediate and worldwide, as the rights charter promises. If a photo is under an open moderation review, we may keep the file privately for up to 30 days as evidence, then it’s destroyed.

Delete your account and everything goes with it within 30 days, except the minimal records we’re legally required to keep.

We can close accounts that break these terms, with the same graduated process as section 05 — but we never delete your work without telling you why.

We work hard to keep Panoramble up and your masters safe — including nightly off-site backups — but we’re a small service and can’t promise perfection. Panoramble is provided “as is”; keep your own originals.

Our liability to you is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that UK law says can’t be excluded.

We may change or retire features. If a change would weaken a promise in the rights charter, the charter’s rule applies: we tell you plainly and in advance, not in a buried diff.

When these terms change we’ll say so on this page with a fresh date, and email you if the change matters. Continuing to use Panoramble after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to its courts — though we’d much rather you just email us first.
